The English (as a foreign language) teachers at the school where I work are struggling with whether to introduce a textbook to the Junior High classes (Class 7, 8, and/or 9) or not. Most feel that the textbooks available have many sections that are not worthy of teaching, but they feel the students respond well to having a book they can turn to to see the rules of grammar, and to watch their progression throughout the year.
